Wisteria Lane Monday

Yesterday as we were reading all of your posts, we came to Tracy's Post and she was talking about Serendipity.  She pointed out that"

Serendipity is defined by Mirriam-Webster as the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for. Serendipitous is a derivative of that word marked by events that are come upon or found by accident; fortuitous.

Then she asked everyone to relate a serendipitous moment in their day.  For Me and My Vickie it was when we found a beautiful red tulip in a field of cheery yellow dandelions.

Or like this morning when we woke up and started our chores.  As soon as the sun began to shine, we noticed that our Wisteria bush had blossomed.  This is serendipitous for us because we have been caring for, watering, watching, hoping for 10 years that it would bloom and it wasn't until last year that we saw the first blooms of its life.  It has been well worth the wait.
Once we got everything settled at the day care and kennel, we called our buddies Goose and Michelle to see if they wanted to go with us to water the plants in the house of one of our clients.  The fun thing is that they live up high in the mountains and this meant  HIKING.
The daffodils were all over mixed in among the aspen.  My Vickie and Michelle (Gooses Mom) couldn't stop taking pictures.  It was Pose here Goose, Pose here Bert......Pose pose pose.
We then drove higher up into the mountains and parked the old van on a hillside and hiked some more.  It was really hot, but not to fear, Goose and I found a patch of snow.

Pastor Michelle even threw snowballs for me.  It was great.
And of course we found a mud puddle.....It would be wrong to pass that up.
Some times it was a bit muddy but My Vickie just had to follow me through the mud to get this picture.
When I got back home I went for another walk with my Erianne and now I am getting ready to hit the sack. You know, go to bed, rest up.  Cause tomorrow I have to go to the groomer (not real happy about that, but it was worth it, getting to get so dirty today) then off to my friends at the hospital.
Have a great day everyone.  Hope you enjoy my short video below.
Love
Bert

That tulip in the field of dandelions is the prettiest thing! What a great day you had hiking with Goose and thankfully found a mud puddle to romp in before hitting the groomers tomorrow! Sweet dreams my friend!

Hey Buddy. I sure did have a great time with you today. But I must admit that I am a little soar in my left leg. What's up with that? Guess I romped a little hard. I like your raspberry you are giving the camera in the last photo, it made me giggle.
Blessings,
Goose

Hi Y'all!

Wow Bert! What an exciting day y'all had!

Guess your "heat" is comin' this way! After the snowin' and blowin' yesterday...it all melted. By the weekend we should have temps almost 80F! That's summer up here in the southeastern mountains.

Y'all come back now,

Our dandelions are ginormous - Mom yanked out some HUGE ones before they flowered - and they were SCARY! You must have gone fairly high to reach some snow! Ours is all gone (in the yard) - and Mean Mom won't take us up to the high lands - something about mud... ;-)

Wow Bert you sure had a good roll in the grass. :) It seems a shame for the groomer to wash off all of that perfectly good mud and dirt.

I luved every little thing about this postie. It just made me feel happy all over. Specially the slow-mo roaching. The only thing better than a good roach in the grass is a slow-mo one!

What a wonderful day, Bert. And, I adore the quote "You could cover the whole earth with asphalt, but sooner or later green grass would break through." Yes!

Your photos show a pair of very happy dogs, and I'm guessing that a pair of happy humans were behind the cameras!

Finding your blog was serendipity!
