“Enjoy life. This is not a dress rehearsal.”

I know My Vickie has been dealing with a lot of "Stuff" in the last three weeks, and I take it as a personal challenge to remind her daily of all the Good......

Like, the beautiful weather we have had the last two day.

A busy schedule that helps keep her mind off the"Stuff"
Good Friends, both human and k-9 and yes....even Allred.
Our health and the ability to run, jump, swim, sing, laugh.
Did you know that this week while I was doing my rounds at the hospital (he he, that sounds like I am really cool) anyway, I was visiting with this very quiet man who has been asleep like, forever.  (well, at least 5 days) and they didn't think he was going to wake up.....Well, I was laying on the bed with him, covering his arm and hand with my big gentle head, just sending my special...."Wake up, it is a beautiful world" vibes.......He woke up!
So now back to the beautiful days.  WE all posed on the big ole log...
We have a new friend who has started coming on our strolls.  Isn't she beautiful?  Her name is Molly and she is wonderful....(Don't worry Charlotte, she is wonderful in a sisterly way)

The swamps were full of, almost clean water, certainly clean enough for us all to enjoy.  That is my old friend Cooper who I was best friends with when we were little.  I haven't seen him for two years almost.  I was so glad to see him again.
Tucker and Tye were the leaders on our hike Saturday.  Goose was the leader on Friday.  Goose didn't come Saturday and I really missed him.
My Vickie's camera didn't do so good today, but nature made up for it.
Another shot of our swamp.  really, can you blame me for wanting to swim in this beautifully intricately designed swimming hole.
I mean SERIOUSLY
More "Weed" pictures.  I love weeds.

And of course nothing is more perfect for the ending of a day than a completely submerged head.  Do you know I can hold my breath under water for about 15 seconds now.
And a final secret message to my Sweet Charlotte.

"I sometimes wonder whether all pleasures are not substitutes for joy.”  C S Lewis
Have a wonderful Sunday My Friends                Bert

You are really cool Bert, or should I say Dr. Bert.
I am sorry I missed Saturday fun. But I had to help MOM get through the day. But Friday was FANTASTIC!
Thanks for being my friend buddy, I mean Dr. Bert. Does this mean I can ask you medical advise?
Hope you and Miss Vickie has a beautiful Sunday.
Blessings,
Goose

Hi Bert,
Queen Penelope is still under the weather. So I am doing the blogging and the visiting. Nellie says you are one of her bestest blogging friends and she loves Allred and she thinks your Vickie is pretty wonderful. When I read your blog to her and showed her the pictures, she said I must send special Purrs to Vickie and You and Allred!
Have a great Day!

I love the pictures - what a place to live, such beautiful mountains as a backdrop! We live near the beach so the sand sometimes gets a little boring :-(

Bert, you are so gorgeous and very fortunate to have inspired a moment in that man for him to wake up...I know it was YOUR good thoughts and well wishes you sent to him. Yes, live is too short not to enjoy the perfect moments right in front of us!

I can't wait until me and Stanley can join you at the swamp! (Mom keeps telling me that I have to learn to walk on leash so we can meet everyone but so far the only exercise has been Mom's exercise in frustration.)

What an incredible experience to have that man wake up when Bert was with him. I don't know that life gets any more amazing than that!

Oh Bert, you and your Vickie do such amazing good work. I'm so happy that you helped that guy... I can't imagine a better way to wake up than with a wonderful dog's head resting on my shoulder.

You're so right - this is no dress rehearsal. I love your "weed" photos. I've never seen the purple one before...

Keep your Vickie smiling, Bert!

hey Bert,

Pawsome post! You are very gifted in showing your human the beauty and goodness in life. Such gorgeous photos, and I especially love the one of all your pups posing on the log. Very cool! And Molly is a beauty!

My human got a lump in her throat about you helping to wake the man who had been sleeping for so long. Amazing story. See, you are gifted!

Lovely quote for Charlotte. You two make a pawsome pair!

Hey Bert,
And yet you share, through this wondrous posting, with such special photos, the power, the magic of positive, or if you like, pawsitive distractions.
May you, Vickie and all those who are so special in your life, have a beautiful and inspirational day.
Pawsitive wishes and doggy kisses, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star. xx
