It is only Wednesday and I already have so much I want to share so this week I am going to write in my blog twice. sometimes I can talk a whole lot and last week my blog got really really long. I promise I'll try to cut back a bit.
This is my buddy Max. He is a truly big dog. Like already he is bigger than me and he is only 8 months old. I measure how fast he is growing by how much of his head I can get into my mouth when we are playing.
So I have had a comment or two about my picture at the top of my blog. Some people are suggesting that I look too serious. I think I look stately and wise. Vickie suggested we go through some of my old photographs and see if we can find a different one. Maybe on Sunday I'll have a few to pick from and you guys can help me pick.
Monday we all piled into the van and went to the park. Tristy, who is feeling pretty good today had a great time. Jamie, well she ran, stumbled and ran some more. She had a great time but she paid for it later. Tuesday morning she couldn’t even stand and Vickie felt so bad for letting her play so much Monday. But Jamie, well, she loved every minute of it and she told me it was way worth it.
Hard to beleive our Tristy is so sick, when she plays like she did today.
We finished the new area. Lots of hauling gravel, lots of gruntin and a groanin from Vickie. But finally, we have one more area that looks like grass but doesn’t need mowing. It looks so much nicer than that old sand box it used to be.
And I can come right up to the big picture window and keep an eye on Vickie and what she is doing without having to come inside.
The sun stayed out most of the day Monday and we all took total advantage of it. Ahhhh it feels so good. We had begun to wonder if Utah was really Seattle WAshington cause it has been so long since we saw the sun.
The following is

NOT FOR THE WEAK or QUEAZY OF HEART

So Tuesday, it is cloudy and really trying to rain but we are bored bored bored. After all my pals checked in for day care, Vickie and I found we had two free hours so off we went for a little hike.

Not just a hike but a PLAN. We had a PLAN. Vickie went to our special fridge and (here’s where the “weak or queasy of heart” should stop reading) and pulled out some of our cadaver material for me and my friends search dog training. We got some skin and bone, put it in special jars with holes in the top. (OK, you can start reading again) and headed to the hills. With the GPS (a special tool Vickie needs, to keep from getting lost, and for marking where we leave the skin and bones) we began our trip. It was so much fun to get out again with just Vickie and me. I didn’t have to share her with anybody else. It was great.
We didn't get to go as far back as we had hoped we would cause the trail under the railroad tracks and the freeway which would lead us to some really great forested areas was way under water. Vickie would have had to wade through water up to her armpits and I would have had to swim. (Now tell me again, what the problem with that is)
On our way to the places we were gonna bury the "Stuff" we came across this really cool bird watching tower. I love ladders and towers and well, I love everything that is new.
There were two times she put me on a “Sit/Stay” and headed into the brush and forested areas for a few minutes. She wasn’t fooling me though; I knew she was hiding the “stuff” Later, after we got back, she sent out an email to my buddies to tell the approximate coordinates so they could go out and look for the “Stuff”. In a week or so, I get to go and look for them too. I’ll let you know how I do.
Finally I want to introduce you to Ginger.

She needs a home and because she looks like a pit bull, sorta, they just wanted to put her to sleep. A nice lady rescued her and brought her to our place. WE can't keep her here very long because we already have too many homeless dogs but we told the lady we would help for one month.

so that is all the time she has to find a new loving home. She is wonderful wonderful with people. She is housetrained and has all her shots.

Her family went to Afganistan and just didn't want to take the time to find her a good home so they just left her alone.

If you know of anyone or have any ideas, please contact vickie. jamiesyra@msn.com She really does deserve a second chance. Sometimes humans can be so weird. Why would you just leave one of us beautiful loving fourlegged bundles of peace and happiness, without making sure we were taken care of.

Once we were wild and nature took its course. We knew how to survive. But you domesticated us and now we are dependant upon your good graces.

A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS........

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.

4. Don't be angry with me for wrong and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends and your entertainment, but I have only you.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.

7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.

9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.

10 On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

I think you are incredibly cool, Bert!

We are so lucky in the loving homes we have and the caring people who look after us. We really hope that Ginger finds a great Forever Home too!

Woofs,

Bert, hoomie Melissa & I absolutely LOVE that picture of you on the top! You look incredibly handsome. Infact, Melissa adored your face. You have a very kindly expression. We likey!

Special fridge? Skin & bones?? OKAY my imagination is running wild now. Are those err...human or animal skin & bones? I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem for you to search for those "stuff" especially after they've been rotting there for over a week! I know you have a very good nose. HEE HEE

Bert - you must have the COOLEST job that ever was! Getting to go out and look for WEEK-OLD skin and bones. Gosh! Seriously. THE coolest!

Oh, and I think Ginger has the sweetest face and I luvs her Most Beautiful brindle furs. I can't believes her family just left her all alone like that. That makes me so very sad. My paws are crossed that she gets the Most Perfect Home That Ever Was with peoples who are gonna luv her forever. Have you found Pet Blogs United yet? They're super wonderful and they do something called "Foster Friday." Maybe they could feature Ginger on it! http://petblogsunited.blogspot.com/
