I want you to note how lovely my girls are. Sweet Annie on the left and lovely Baci on the right, clean, white and well groomed. That is how I like my girls.
Both girls are about the same age, a little younger than me, yet pretty smart for their age. Annie and I have a pretty strong bond but I have to admit Baci has a charm that isn't easy to ignore..
I first started out by showing the girls how to dive out as far as they can before they even touch the water Baci is very excited about trying this but the closest she comes to actually swimming is to get wet up to her shouldersAnnie, on the other paw, is diving in with total abandon now. Her friend De still gets pretty nervous so she makes her wear an life vest.
I thought Annie would hate being hindered by this big guaucky thing wrapped around her but she really liked it. It helped her stay on the surface more and gave her a chance to learn how to not panic and swim instead of slapping the water in an upright position.
I highly recommend them.
Here she is modeling her vest and below, if you look hard you can see her among the splashing water.
While Annie was in the water (which she now loves like a cat loves cat nip) Baci and I played a roudy game fo stick.......
When we were done playing, our lovely white Baci looked like this (see picture below)
After the fun loving romp thru the forest and down by the water and in the water, our families asked us if we would pose. Well of course I'd be happy to sit between my dream girls for a photo. And now that I have taught them to swim (well almost. Baci is just in the beginning stages) My next job will be to show them how to mix up their own Goose-de-le-poop lotion and body rub. Oh their families will be so happy with me. (he he)

Nice work!!! Love the muddy waters :) Your swim students looked quite happy to be playing in the waters! Love the splash!

Look at that! I love her life vest, very impressive!
Oh dear! The two leggers must be pleased that the girls can now swim, and enjoy the water. I have doubts about the grooming part though...
Well done! Now, hurry up and show them how to make the Goose-de-le-poop lotion and body rub! :p
Well Bert you got me laughing this time!! Looks like you're a super good teacher, you didn't even need to use a clicker!;) Maizey wears a life jacket too, cause I'm paranoid that she'll swim herself to exhaustion. Magnus doesn't like to swim too much yet, but if his leg doesn't get better he's going to have to learn to like it so he can get some exercise! Very funny post!
You guys surely had a good time!!
I would love to take Simba out for a swim too! maybe you could teach him too! hahaha
I imagine the had work that was bathing this doggies afterwards!
hahaha
Bert, once again you've made me laugh!! Yesterday I gave our puppy a bath before taking him to work, and I thought he was going to hurt himself trying to get away from me--I think he could use a few of your lessons, because living with Goldens, he'll need some, right?
You're such a great teacher. :)
Bert, you are doing such a pawesome job there. We bet both Baci and Annie will be swimming in the Olympics before long. And we also bet their humans will be forever indebted to you for all the extras you are sharing with your two beautiful girls:)

Bert, NO!!! Don't teach those girls your bad habit! Swimming is good. Rolling in goose poo? Not so much!

Hi Y'all!
Sigh, Bert you are quite mischievous...teaching swimming is one thing...but teaching about body rubs that smell good and feel good to us never earns us any affections from our humans. We only end up ostracized and getting a bath...and most dogs end up smelling more like perfume.
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
What a hoot! Love the photos and dogs swimming always bring a smile. "GoosePoop Body Anything"...well that is a different story!
Baci is so pretty!! I love water, but I haven't yet been able to see if I could swim yet. Maybe one day I will. :)
Love to see you have a good time!
Woofs & hugs,
~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
What adventures you have with beautiful girls! You're a lucky dog and they're lucky to have you. But maybe you could come up with something a little nicer in the way of fragrances?
You are a good teacher Bert!
