Can't think of a title....

So the other day My Vickie went up into the mountains without me.  She sat at the side of a little pond and took pictures of these two little guys.  I promised her she could put them on my blog post today because, even though I wasn't with her, she had a very relaxing time that day......and believe me. she needs some relaxing days.

Later that day why  Goose and his mom Michelle were working here at the kennel, there was a bit of jealous  that visited Goose's heart.
One of our little guests took over him moms lap during her break and Goose, was not happy.
Today they called us back to check out some areas along the river for the little 3year old that fell in the water last Saturday.  His little body has still not been found.
Me, Murphy and Tucker worked our little noses off trying to find him, but we had no luck either.
I checked everywhere along and in the water that I could think of.
Of course I wasn't looking for mushrooms but My Vickie couldn't help but take a picture when she came across these.
After we  finished searching our area My Vickie took a look at what was once my beautiful fluffy tail.  Boy, did that take a long time to clean up.
And of course when the work was done, you guessed it.   I got to play in the water.  Believe me....that is the tough part of a water search...focusing on The Search.

Tomorrow there will be another search.  They are lowering the water from up above and they have spent the last two days building a diversion for the river in the area where the little boy was last seen.

It always amazes My Vickie how hard everyone works and how much money can be spent in an effort to bring a family closure.  It makes her proud of the human race.  No matter how tough things are, if you look around, you will find good kind people.

Good job buddy on lend all four paws to help out in trying to find that boy. I know you, Murphy and Tucker are giving it your all.
As for the tail situation. I have a solution: First get Miss Vickie to wrp your tail in saran wrap then wrap that in duck tape. When you are done going through all the stickers just unwrap and BAM no stickers in your tail.
I wasn't jealous.... OK I was, but that is MY MOM and all the doggies at your place like to jump in her lap, I mean MY LAP. Hope we can walk tomorrow.
Blessings,
Gosoe

We will say a purrayer fur that poor family. How sweet of you and Vickie to keep looking. Hope that tangled tail wasn't terribly hard to get straight! (it looks awful)

All I kept thinking was God bless all of you for being a part of this. I have never had to experience this(thank God) but if I did, knowing that there were people that cared so much would bring me comfort.

This is really so sad for the little boy's family. Is there any hope that the little boy managed to crawl out of the water and is wandering the woods instead? I truly hope the family is able to get the closure they need before the weekend is over.

That is such a tragic situation - at least you did all you could Bert. I would not have like to sit through the comb out of your tail!!

Mom keeps a bottle of spray conditioner handy for getting weckies out of our coats. They're nasty little buggers, aren't they, Bert!

Love ya lots,

Hi, I will continue to pray that the little boy is found so his parents can have closure; how tragic. I sure enjoyed the photos today. Hunter is asleep on the couch next to me, he had a busy morning with your daughters kiddos. He is doing pretty well, doesn't like the leash-but it was the first time he had it on. Tonight he will be home for an hour alone-hopefully he will just snooze and be fine.
Have a great weekend Bert.

Wow, what a wonderful post. You are such an amazing spirit to help peeps in need. I know it is difficult. I love that pix of you jumping in the water. You certainly deserve the joy you get from that. Loving vibes to those peeps.

Dear Bert, you have such a rewarding job. I know your tail looked like skank by the end of the search, but I'm sure you were still very proud of it. I hope they find the little boy because it IS good to know.

Is that second picture a gopher or maybe a squirrel? My Typist is a bit blur and I insisted she ask.
