Sunday Reflection

Boy am I one tired Pup.  I am lying here (on the lazy boy because I am wet and My Vickie won't let me get my bed that Charlotte sent me dirty) anyway, I am lying here thinking about this weekend.
Thought you might like an update on the little boy we are searching for. (here is a link to the story)  Newspaper Article

They haven't checked out the areas where us dogs say he might be.  They are pretty focused on the spot where he went into the water and have a hard time believing us when we tell them we think he is about 1.7 miles down stream.  The picture above is of me alerting.  I was on the other side of the river when I got this alert.  My Vickie marked the area and we sent it it.  So we will see.
My Vickie and I went out last night to watch the Super Moon.  It was really huge and her little camera took a pretty good picture of it.  (well I think it did)
Pretty neat.   It was a lot larger as it came over the horizon.  Almost spooky.
Yesterday after searching for the little boy, My Vickie, Michelle and Goose, John and Trigger all went hunting for more  morel mushrooms.  Boy has it grown in the last week.
But My River waited for us and after the hunt we stopped and played.  Oh I love my world.
This is Trigger.  He is cool and we hang a lot.  He isn't as much of a water dog as me, but he gets pretty close.
"Doesn't he have the most glorious eyes?
Of course Goose had to work on digging and pulling up the only log/root along the shore.  Boy he is persistent.
And then there is me.  I bet you wonder if all I do is play in the water.
Well, I WOULD, if I could.  I think my name should be Flipper.
Have a nice Sunday everyone.  WE are back on the search Monday to see if the scent of the little boy has moved down river from the last place we thought he was.  Hopefully, with your prayers and good wishes, that little boy will be found tomorrow.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayer to this point.  We know the family appreciates it.

Love
Bert

I have my paws crossed that THEY will lissen to YOU and that the child is found. This must be horrid fur his parents.. and I KNOW that it is very VERY much difficult fur YOU and Your Vickie.

You are ALL in our hearts.

Dear Bert, I don't understand why they would get you dogs to help and then don't listen to your advice. Isn't that a bit duh?

Your Vickie took some great pics of the supermoon. You can even see the man! She's clever with her little cam.

Maybe you can tell me why you're not scared of putting your head underwater. How do you breathe? Did your Vickie trick you into doing it the first time?

Our holiday is almost over! My humans are sulking.

I sure do hope they listen to you Bert (and the other search dogs) and look further down river. MOM is mad about that too. I am always so glad that even though you worked so hard that day you still found time to play with me and Trigger. And for you info, I jsut clear all the sticks and logs from the rivers edge so you don't trip over them as you dive in the water. See ya later.
Blessings,
Goose

Bert,
It must be hard when the humans don't think you have the right spot for that poor little boy. Rest up and good luck with the search tomorrow.

We missed the super moon last night because of the rain, which has returned this evening. And to top it off, it's cold, too. Thank you very much for the photos, though. They're astonishing!

Trigger looks exactly like on of Duncan's friends, Pepper, a work dog we've befriended. One of these days soon I'll post a picture of her and you can see for yourself!

We hope the rescuers will check out the place you alerted Your Vickie to. It must be so hard for the family and everyone involved. :(
Mommy has a question : when you submerge your head in the water, doesn't the water go into your ears?

hey Bert,

I would be tired too. You have been very busy, playing and working. Thank you for helping in the search for the little boy, and our prayers are with the family that he is found. Such a heartbreaking story.

The pictures of you are wonderful! You are such a beauty!

Pawsome moon photos! From where I live the moon did not look any bigger than normal, so that was a bit disappointing. But it was very bright.

Good luck on your search today. Paws crossed all goes well and the little one is found.

Good luck with the search! We read the article - can't believe the family was just posing for a picture when the accident happened. We will always remember to check our surrounds before posing for pictures. On a brighter note, the picture of you with your tongue sticking out is cute.

Bert, I am glad you are still looking for that little boy. It has been so long now. I liked the picture with your tongue out and my mom loved the moon photo since she didn't get one. She was outside at 1:30 a.m. looking at the moon and amazed at how bright it was.

Hi Bert, Thank you again for searching for the little boy; I know his family really needs to find him. I love how wonderful you are and Ms.Vicki-so very giving. Wish you lived closer.
Hunter is wishing he could play too but he is still a little scared. I took him to the vet today and he got two shots but when some dogs approached him, he got a bit nervous.
Hopefully he'll settle in and become the friendly Bichon that his breed is known for.
Hugs today.

I sure hope they find him soon. We actually thought of you last weekend. A girl my mom works with, her father in law is missing and has been sine beginning of April. They had a huge search for him last weekend that lasted all day long. Some Search and Rescue dogs came all the way from Texas to help with the search. But they still didn't find him. :(

Wow, you were able to see the super moon. I didn't even know about it until I watched the news on TV.

Good luck on the search.

And by the way, I love your duck-mode diving picture.
