Camo Saturday

Well, again it is a non stop few days and I have so much to tell you but no time.  So here are some highlights.  1st  Willa actually shared on of her toys with Lady.  They played tug-of-war for a few minutes, but then Willa said "ENOUGH"  This is mine and I want it back.  So she took it.
Friday I met with all my friends to get some exercise.  Stanley and Murphy had just been "Snipped" so they weren't supposed to get wet, but I talked their mom and dad into just letting them get their feet wet.  You know.....a dog who loves water should never be expected to just walk by a river....
Saturday Morning we met our Saturday walk group.  We usually get to play in a big field for the first half hour and boy did we run and have fun.
Big Murphy met a new girl and I am thinkin he was Love Struck, cause he followed her around drooling and touching her and playing with her.  HE even tried to show what a guy he can be but he got in trouble for that.
And the very best part is I found this big old pile of dried up cut grass.  It was amazing.  I used it to practice my camouflage skills.  Head first.......
Then be sure to nussle your way around until you have a air hole for your Nose.  Breathing is important.

Slowly wiggle your self down further an further into the pile.
Then lay absolutely still.  Still as you can.  They will never know you are there.
And finally a photo from Allred for his pal Sanskissjuice.
Hope you all have a wonderful wonderful weekend.

Your camo work is most impressive. It's a good thing there is a river nearby to rinse all that grass off.

Thank you for convincing our peeps that we needed to dip a paw (or four) in the water. Unfortunately, next week we will still by under orders for dry land. Maybe you could work on them some more?

BTW, Big Murphy looks like he was flying through the air!

Your friends,

Murphy & Stanley

Hi Bert!
I just found you through Kim's blog (Life at Golden Pines) and am so happy that I did!

You look like SUCH a fun guy! I absolutely LOVE the photo at the top of your blog!!! I've GOT to find me some mud...

;-)

I had to write a serious blog post today because of some stupid humans, but my blog is usually pretty fun too. Stop by and say "Hi"!

I hope that we can be Pals!

Hi Bert,

Wow, that was really top class camouflage! For a second, your coat looked a shade darker so I thought it was Murphy nestled in the dried pile of grass.

Oh, Bert, my dear. Thank you so much for the photo of Allred. I hope you will have more stories about Allred in your upcoming posts. I would love to see your interaction with him. Inter-species relationship is so fascinating e.g. between men and women, you know? Maybe your Vickie can tell you a little more about that, if you haven't noticed already, hehe

Your biggest fan, love and kisses

PS Tip#1: See That photo with your butt sticking out? Send that to Charlotte. You looked so sexy, I bet it will get her heart throbbing! ;)

PPS: Don't you think Allred should have a female mate too? Can you help him meet someone special like you and Charlotte? Since you are smooth and all, you know, hehe. It is a compliment :) He may be less 'devilish' if he as a gf, just a suggestion.

Your ultra fan!

Bert, what a nice job of hiding, I can only imagine how sweet and fresh you must have smelled after that. I hope you were able to get a cool dip in the water to get all the grass off and possibly avoiding a bath later.

I hope I'm leaving a comment for Bert... I saw him and then he disappeared and there was a cat... I might be the all-powerful, all-knowing alphadog at my house, but I don't have the patience to read... I just look at the pictures!!

Mom said you had a sleep in over the weekend... actually more of a sleep on. But, Bert, had I been there I'd probably have slept on you, too... Your fur, when not all muddified up, looks so comfy!!!

Hi Y'all,

Thanks for stoppin' to visit me!

By the way, and I'll mention it again in Q & A later in the week...we aren't up at midnight either. We schedule our posts daily for 12:01am EDT. If you're on mountain time, I guess it's only 10pm there.

Don't miss tomorrow's post on BSL

Did you have to get groomed before your Miss Vickie would let you in the house after your disappearing act?

Hope y'all are havin' a wonderful, safe week.

Y'all come back now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

Vickie, I cannot tell you how happy the pictures of Bert in the grass made me. I'm still giggling. It reminds me of being a child and doing the exact same thing. And that is one of the wonders of our four-legged friends: they have the joy of children and bring them out in us. Duncan likes to roll in the grass at the park and somehow managed to talk me into joining him a few summers back. And to my delight I discovered that not only did it cool me down but it made me feel thirty years younger.

Bless our dogs!
