Good, Better and BEST

So it is Saturday night and we are all exhausted.  My Vickie almost didnt' let me work on the blog cause she wants to get some sleep before the fireworks start. There was a short battle of wills.

Guess who won?

A short little note on Willa.....Seems that My Vickie is not working too terribly hard to try and find the little one a home.  (You might remember that she was left abandoned at our front gate locked in a little crate on a hot day)

I get the distinct feeling that My Vickie is falling in love with this little princess.  It's not that I mind, you can hardly even tell she is around most of the time.   But come on......We already live with a ton of dogs that come to the day care and boarding as well as the three other abandoned sweethearts that already live with us.
Sometimes the amount of sweet spirits that are left or abandoned becomes overwhelming.  Luckily we have help.  Like Keeto,  the handsome guy above.  He isn't really abandoned, he just needs a foster home while his family goes through some really rough times.  Keep your fingers and paws crossed so that Keeto can find a place to stay.
Then there are the "Happy Endings"  like for Mugsy (you may remember him as Dizzy)  He lived with us for about 9 months while we tried to find him a perfect home.  And one year ago, on the 19th of July, he found it.  yeah

He is so happy in his new home.

His new family is going to have a One Year party for him next week and Me and My Vickie are invited.  It is so Great to be able to have Good Endings.....
This is Dougal.   He isn't homeless or anything, I just loved this picture....
Enough about the Homeless, lets talk about my favorite subject now....ME......

This is my friend Brayden.  He met up with us as we went to meet my girls and Murhpy for a swim on Friday.  I really like him.  He was homeless once too, but now he has a foster home.....

I guess Humans have problems too.    I don't understand it but I guess sometimes there aren't easy answers to everything.
My girls, Annie and Baci, have both got new life vests so they will fill comfortable in the water.  Murphy, who refuses to get wet up higher than his legs, is making his move on Baci and I can't watch.    Thank goodness, I know my Annie will stay true to me.
They may look at Murhpy cause he is handsome and all hairy, but I know for a fact that I am way more impressive than him when it comes to water so I start to show my girls how to "Clear Air".

Murphy sat on the shore.......
He did finally go in the water a bit and Baci is clearly falling for his sly ways, but Annie, she is still faithfull to me.
A few more lessons and I am gonna have Baci swimming as confidently as My Annie is in the water.  Now she is still a little panicky, even with the vest.
We posed for a final picture, all of us dripping wet and happy.  My Annie wouldn't look at the camera becasue she was so intent on getting back in the water.  It was a great day.

If you have a minute, check out the video below.  (Give it a minute to download)  My Vickie was using a different camera so it is a little dark but you can watch Murphy playing with Baci.  I hate to admit it, but I think he has won her heart.

Oh Well,  women come and go.........dang it......

Have a wonderful Sunday
Love
Bert

I know how your Mom feels--I think we're cut from the same cloth because I'd probably be keeping Willa too...

I hope that Keeto finds a good place to stay for awhile, and I hope that Annie got to go back into the water! I loved the last picture of her looking back at it!

I also hope you have a wonderful weekend!! THANK YOU again for your kindness and friendship!!

We think our Mom would have a very hard time letting that cute little Willa go too. And we sure hope Keeto finds the help he needs - what a handsome boy!!! Bert, don't worry about Baci - Murphy is a great guy for her and you will always have Annie.

Happy Sunday to all.

There are pups and human pups who need help sometime, but very special people are there with an outstretched hand (or paw) to help out.

Awwww I think you have room for little willa - she is so tiny after all and she doesn't take up much room or eat much I suspect. That was a pawsome shot of you jumping into the water !!!

Awww, looks like you all had such fun!! I don't know how I'd be in the water -- I mean, I LOVE water -- I love my pool, but I'm not that happy about big bodies of water. I didn't much care for the ocean.

I loved the video too! Wish I had such great friends!

Woofs & hugs,

~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)

Hi Bert! It's so great to meet you. Sounds like you and your mom do great work for the 4-leggers! You are most certainly a handsome guy and an excellent swimming instructor, too. No wonder Annie loves you!
