GOOD NEWS/Bad news/or not so bad news

   GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS DAY
Yeah ! ! ! ! !   Sweet Willa is trying out a new home.  As hard as it was for My Vickie to say good by  to Sweet Willa, A wonderful lady who lives alone was hoping to see if they would be good for each other.

With heavy heart, My Vickie took Willa to the nice lady and after meeting and spending a while with her, My Vickie says that it was a match made in heaven and she hoped it would work out.

Murphy made it home after the sleep over WITHOUT getting scratched, bit or pummeled by Devil Cat.  Yes it is true, as much as Murphy was asking for it....he got away with it......I never get away with anything, but the Murphigator gets away with almost everything.  Good news for Him.
Bad News, but really Not so Bad News.  We finally heard from Jasper and he is feeling much better after his Surgery.

Here is the report from his family.....It looks like he will be able to return for Day Care in a few months.  Boy have we missed him.

He is nearly 7 weeks post TPLO surgery for his ruptured ACL.  His recovery has been unusually speedy!  He has been walking with no limp or toe touching since the day we took him home.  A lot of the exercises prescribed for his recovery are to encourage weight bearing so we've been having to do a lot of research and figure out how to best help him recover safely while taking advantage of how well he is doing.  He gets xrays next week and if he has full bone healing we'll be able to start doing a lot more!  Being home and not able to visit any other dogs has been the toughest part of recovery for him.

Hang in there Jasper.  We are all rooting for you.

Everyone have a nice weekend.

We will have the results and the Winners to list Monday Morning Mountain Standard Time.

Love
Bert

I know that feeling when you find a home for a pup that you know is the right one--It's a bittersweet moment, and one of unselfishness too.

I'm glad Jasper is doing well, and will be back with his peeps very soon! Todd made some new friends at daycare this week--He was afraid at first, but did well! So did I! :-)

Thank you from myself and Jasper to Bert, Vickie, and everyone that commented for your thoughts! I cried for days when I found out Jasper had to have major surgery because I wasn't sure how he could possibly handle the recovery period without becoming super depressed but he has been a great patient.. well, aside from not always realizing he just had major surgery and trying to do too much - like the day I picked him up. The vet couldn't help laughing at us as Jasper dragged me out of the vet office two days after surgery.

The good news is he finally gained a little of desired weight! He was definitely a testament to how much fun you can have at daycare.. he played so much that we had to feed him large meals and lots of snacks just to keep him from losing weight!

Hi Bert,
I don't know Jasper but I wish him a good recovery.
I was so happy to see you came to see me!!! Yes I have this I think 6 to 8 months old puppy. I am fostering her for now and if we can get Happy our cat on board with it we will adopt her. She is trying as hard as a puppy can try to please me and see is so happy to have a home. She was picker up a stray they don't know anything about her. The kennel where she was taken only keeps a dog or cat 5 days and then puts them to sleep. I had called the Last Hope Rescue about getting a dog and the girl said she was due to be put to sleep that very day. I said I would foster her so I saved her life and she knows it!!
