Perspective

Well, I had to sit My Vickie down last night and have a little talk with her.  I told her it is all about Perspective........

a visible scene, especially one extending to a distance; vista:

the state of existing in space before the eye:

the state of one's ideas, the facts known to one, etc., in having a meaningful interrelationship:

I told her that the last 24 hours were just a freakish trick of nature and that she should start remembering the Whole Picture.

for instance:

WE don't live n the path of Hurricanes or Sunami's  (That in itself should cheer her up)

The little dog Did Not Mean to Bite her....(Well he did mean it, he warned her three times.)

That was Not A crocodile swimming in the new lake we have in the back yard cause the water main broke.

The nice plumber man HAS to charge you that much money cause that is just what it costs.

While it is true, You Do STINK because you havn't showered in three days, you must remember that there is a perfectly good river just up the road that I swim in that would quickly remove the stench that follows you.

And a perfectly good bathroom about 1/2  a mile down the road at the local gas station.  You don't have to use a porta potty.

Who needs a car when you still have two legs and two feet and ten digits on the end of those feet and shoes to wear......EXERCISE is Good.

And finally, Your mother and your skin doctor has told you for years.....WEAR SUN SCREEN  It is just your nose....your not that pretty anyway.....(I say this with much love and just a touch of reality)

And those other three dramas that we can't mention.....who cares.....Right.  Dignity, honor, respect, humility.....yadayadayada

PERSPECTIVE......

And to add to my wisdom, we had all the help and good wishes from all of our blogging friends so......

MY DEAR VICKIE....."Get over it"......STOP with the Drama Queen act

WE still have a lot to do, so get off the pitty train......

Much Love
Your Bert

PS.....thank you thank you everyone for helping me role that big old world off her.  And so many of your comments cheered her up....after all, it isn't all that bad......

Hi Y'all,

Bert, excellent advise for all our humans...look to the positive! When something happens here that the Humans don't like my Human always says to me..."this too will pass". Tell your Vickie that it seems like forever, but it won't be, and keep reminding her of all the positives!

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

Bert, Your advice is good for all of us to keep in mind. Thanks for cheering up your Vickie. It does sound like an avalanche of things went wrong. Please keep talking to her and snuggling with her. You can make her smile, my friend!

Those are wise words, Bert. Think Your Vickie need to go for a swim, followed with a Goose-Poop-Body-Scrub. That should lift her spirits!

Hey Bert!
Wow, it sounds like Your Vickie has had truckload of issues here. Good thing she has you to keep her happy. I'm all worried about her snout...I'm sending a ton of healing thoughts about whatever that's about. I'm sure she can feel our love and you'll take great care of her.

Bert,

You're hilarious! How can Vickie not be rolling around on the floor laughing now after reading your words of wisdom!

You could make anyone start wagging again!

Great job buddy, now off you go and give her a big hug and a lick (assuming she's at least not so stinky now! Tee Hee)

Your pal Snoopy :)

You're a smart doggy Bert. Miss Vickie is lucky to have you there to put it all in "perspective." I must say though that from the sounds of it, she has every reason to be uh, out of sorts:(

Sounds like you have been having a really difficult time. Hope your luck changes for the better soon!! Make sure you give your vicki a lot of petting time. That seems to calm the humans down.

Hi Bert, you sound full of wisdom. Sometimes we have to look for the positive under that pile of rubbish that life sometimes sends. Its always so much better when you share with friends, and your Vickie has heaps of those for sure. Take care all. No worries, and love, Stella

Sorry to disagree with you, Bert. But it REALLY IS that bad. All those other things are happening to other people. What's happening to your Vickie is HAPPENING TO YOUR VICKIE.

Thank goodness she has such an upbeat personality and a good sense of humor. Someone once told me, "You know you're going to laugh about this later. So you might as well laugh about it now." BTW: If you are going to say that to your Vickie, make sure your timing is just right.

Oh goodness! I missed something of great import here! Your human sounds pretty overwhelmed with things at the moment. Perhaps you ought to remind her that you give yourself your own baths and could take care of her yourself if it gets desperate!

Good pawspectives Bert. Hopefully that will at least help your Vickie relax and breath a little :) That is a LOT to deal with all at once. Yikes! Butt once the storm's passed, you should have sunshine for quite a while :D Seems like that's the way it goes anyway :)
