No More

I AM HOME! Hey every one.... I am back home, in my house, with my Jamie, and My Vickie and my BED. My nice warm comfy BED. I am very tired, I am not allowed to do anything but lay around. I can't play, I can't jump up on My Vickie's Bed, I can't bounce with Scrappy....CAN'T Can'T Can't. That is all I hear. But it is ok, cause I AM HOME...
My Vickie says NO MORE playing in the water with my friends

NO MORE Tennis Balls (EVER)

 NO MORE jumping over logs

At least for another 8 weeks.  But I will be back and playin in the SPRING.

Bert, I am SOOO happy that you're home. I had a very busy day today but you kept popping into my head as I wondered how your were doing. Eight weeks will fly by at the speed of light. That means that K will have her last chemo at about the same time as you get your freedom back. You two can be veterinary buddies!

I'm so glad that Charlotte is taking care of you. Vickie is pretty good too :)

We are so pleased to read that you are getting better - there is no place like home.

As my human mentioned only the other day, she found me with a tennis ball all broken up and in pieces in my mouth, though I didn't do your trick and try to swallow some of it. Anyway I think us Golden Retrivers need to learn to fetch and love other things, and so I hope you will join me in trying to get our humans to realise that food is always the best option for us! Food glorious food... but I digress. Rest up my Golden friend, make the most of room service and all the extra attention your Vicke and Jamie will no doubt give you.

Sending you love, woofs and tummy rubs,
Riley

Bert Bert Bert Bert. I am so happy you are home. I sure did miss you today and the rest of us went and played. But every single one of us was thinking about you.
Get plenty of rest and resist the temptation to bounce, run, and greet everyone who comes to day care.
Enjoy your royal recovering suite. You will still be in me and MOM's thoughts and prayers. I'll see ya soon.
Blessings,
Goose

Bert, I am so happy and so relieved that you are home. Home is the best place to be. For now maybe you can just keep dreaming about all the things you can't do right now, but it won't be long and you will be your old sweet self chasing squirrels and taking a swim. I am so happy to see that Charlotte is caring for you. You are surrounded by love and sometimes love is just enough.

It is good to know Bert is doing better and is home.

Dog Dad is now extra on guard about tennis balls. Some people tended to leave broken tennis balls at the park, which Dog Dad would toss in the trash, now he is extra watchful for them.

so glad Bert is HOME!!!

I feel like the worst mom ever to admit... Mabel used to EAT tennis balls all the time as a pup... but very small pieces and they always "passed!" I will be far more watchful now... but now that she's a grownup, she rarely tears them apart!

Oh Bert! We are soooo glad you are home!! Eight weeks is a small price to pay to keep your wonderful self around! You watch it will go by in no time. Your Miss Vickie must feel so much better to have you home where she can watch you. So you get lots of rest and listen to your Momma!

Bert,
Around here we only use the large tennis balls from air kong which are 3 inches in diameter and momma keeps them hidden except at playtime. Maybe when you are feeling better you can convince your Vickie to try that.

In the meantime, just relax and practice your meditative skills, OK?
