Well, you asked for it....Many of you keep asking for pictures of my boo boo.....
I am healing really well, This is me Still on Bed Rest.
And here is the boo boo that is healing really well. Dr. Eddie did such a good job, but he said the inside stitches need more time to be rested. So, yep.....I am still supposed to be quiet and still and it is really hard.
But at least My Vickie can take me for drives in the car. That makes it all a little bit easier, but I know that My Vickie is gonna meet with Goose and some of my other friends tomorrow and Saturday WITHOUT me. That is two weekends in a row. Bummer
And to make it worse, We Got Snow today. Snow, my friends....SNOW and I cannot go out and play in it. I am so jealous that everyone else can go enjoy it. Abby likes to capture the snowflakes in her mouth. She is pretty good at it.
Annie just sits in it and looks pitiful.
Some of our other guests for the day also enjoy it like Dougal.
Montana
Here is Annie again with Pastor Michelle who has started helping us out here at Canine Country Club. She is learning how to take care of things so My Vickie and I an go camping this year. Knowing someone as great at Pastor Michelle and Goose are watching over the place will make My Vickie less worried to leave.
Zoey got cold and came inside after playing in the snow. I love her profile.
And of course James Dean, who is the nicest dog that comes here to day care (remember he brought me flowers and a blanket after my surgery. Nice isn't it) who sleeps in such a cute way.
Before I go, I just wanted to thank everyone again for all your POTP wishes and to all of you who sent me get well cards. I consider myself the luckiest est est est dog in the world.......

Dood, it looks good! Just think of the great story you can tell all the young 'uns around the day care! We'll keep purrin fur ya. xoxo
It's going to be a cool scar. But I am sure your handsome fur will cover it soon.
I sure will miss you AGAIN our our weekend walk. I'll run and jump twice as much just for you.
When you and Your Vickie go camping does that mean I am at Daycare with MOM or could I come with you guys? I love camping and backpacking.
Keep getting better buddy.
Blessings,
Goose
You are such a brave poochie! Very proud of how well you trying to rest and every day you are healing better and better.

I am so glad your booboo is healing so nice. Its getting closer and closer to when you can go out and play. Have you tried Solitaire?? I don't know what that is, but I heard somewhere it is good to pass the time
Loveys Sasha
We didn't know that about Collies but we suspected it. I wish I could take Reville but they'd never let her go. A&M is big on tradition and they have had a Reville for many years now. Glad Bert is doing better! Those stitches look ouchy!
Licks,
Ruthie
I wish I could come help at the Country Club. Who wouldn't want to spend time with all those dogs? Looks like Pastor Michelle likes getting kisses. I hope Goose doesn't get jealous.
Glad to hear you are healing well. Keep up the good work with the resting.
Cindy
Ouch Bert! Glad you are feeling better though. Yes, Goose and his Mom would do an excellent job taking care of things while you and Miss Vickie went camping. I really like the photos of your friends too!
Oh Bert, that is quite an incision but it's healing! Keep being a good boy so that you can romp and frolic later this year!
I love Zoey's profile too! And, James Dean always makes me smile.
Stay relaxed, Bert!
So glad you are home and doing well.
Dude, if you were a girl, we'd think you'd just been spayed! ;-) Glad to hear that you are healing - and that you are being patient and resting and doing all the stuff you are supposed to, to get better quick! Hey, um, not to make you jealous or anything, but we've got some snow pics... You can live vicariously through us, if that helps! (We got about 10 inches last night, and we're supposed to get more tonight!) Keep getting better, dude!

Dear Bert,
your stitches are looking good. How do you get in the car? Does your Vickie have to to carry you? Milk it while you can, I say! I hear ice cream and peanut butter helps with healing.
Have a great weekend :) x
P.S. Your friend Montana looks like he just saw an alien.
My great heroe! Such a big scar - but I'm so happy that it's healing up so good! Be patient! Time will fly and I'm always thinking of you!
Sending you all my love, kisses and hugs Your Charlotte
Hang in there, Bert. And it sure looks like you're not having to wear the Cone, so that's a blessing you can count. Won't take long for all your gorgeous fur to grow back and cover that scar.
Jed & Abby
The wound looks like it is healing nicely. We know it must be REALLY hard to stay quiet and indoors especially since it snowed! We're sending you lots of love and for the days to zip by so you can be outside again.
Your doctor did do a good job Bert. But that is still a nasty scar! I'm so sorry you can't go out and enjoy the snow like all your friends but at least you get to go for car rides and just think you get to go camping this summer! Yay! Rest up, buddy!
By the way, I love that pal of yours James Dean!! What a sweetie! :)
Woof! Woof! Oh Bert, that's a long n lots of stitches. Sending u Lots of Golden Healing Thoughts n LOVE. Lots Of Golden Woofs, Sugar

Keep being a good boy !

We wish we could come visit you, Bert, and place the gentlest of snooter smoochies on your head to help make you feel better. Yourboo boo looks just like the nasty one Phantom had after the big surgery on his chest. It does take time to heal, but you will be doing so much better soon.
Have a restful weekend.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Your booboo looks ouchy! Was that tennis ball really worth it?
You'll be out runnin' in that snow in no time. For now...just rest!
I am so glad that you are healing! I wished the snow would have held out until you are able to run and play!
~Higgins
Hey Bert! Looks like you woz spayed! Did you has them put a zipper in so if'n, dog forbid, there be a next time it be easier to get out?
OUCH! That looks like it hurts! I am so glad you are feeling better. Just rest up and you will soon be back out playing with your friends.
Your pal, Pip
Hey Bert,
So happy you're healing up well and I can't imagine how frustrating it must be not being allowed to play in the SNOW, especially when you know your Vickie is out playing - do you give her the 'sniff over' when she comes home?
I think it's for the best though buddy and you'll be up and running around in no time….
Take it easy,
Your pal Snoopy :)
Hey Bert!
Wow, I'm so glad you are healing well! I know it stinks, but you've got to stay rested for a little longer. Your ouchie looks good. I wish I could be there with you...we'd take some great naps together!
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, COP
Wow that is quite a cut. I hope you are feeling better. And just think you will be ready to play just in time for spring and summer.
We are so happy you are getting back to normal and at least go for car rides.
Get Well Soon!
Cinnamon

Howdy Bert, your boo boo doesn't look too bad now cause we know your mum is making you rest. You look so sweet sleeping. We wish you dreams filled with Charlotte and yummy treats to eat. Hugs and healing slobber to you Bert. Take care mate. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
It does look like your boo boo is healing well. I am so happy. When I had one like that, I got ... dare I say it... a nasty infections.
But then again, I was just a puppy and got into some mischief and... well that is probably where it came from.
So stay in bed and heal well, my friend. Camping season is coming.
Doggy Kisses,
Tanner
Hi Bert,
I can't imagine how hard it is to not play....I feel for you Buddy. But if you do this part right.....you will get to the playing part quicker!!
I'm so glad your Vickie has help so you two can go camping again. My peeps bought a caravan on Thursday so in about 4 months time (when we get it) we are planning to go camping too!! We can compare notes!
Tail Wuggles, Rubie
How lucky you are to have a wonderful friend like Goose's mom! Now you can spend your healing time thinking about the fun you will have camping with your Vickie.
Honest, Bert...in a very short while even the memory of your misfortune will be gone and you will be romping all over and swimming and playing in the snow. Honest.
Never fear Bert, you will heal. I had the same incision and now you can hardly see it. :)
Thunder
I hear snow is over-rated anyway! We hardly got any snow this year so far -- we don't seem to miss it one bit.
Oh dear! I really did miss a lot! I'm sorry to see your boo boo and to hear you have to lay low for awhile. It reminds me of Duncan's Great Yarn Crisis of 2006, when he ate all that yarn and was split right down the middle to save his life. It was terrible to see him so out of it but he got better and we've walked many, many miles since. You'll be up and at 'em again soon! Be strong, Bert!
