Blue Day In The Best Way

YES  There is a dog sitting on me.  WHY?   I don't know, she just is.  And that is how I spent my Snow Day
All my friends all over the mountain got to enjoy SNOW.
My Vickie went on a walk without me.  YES.  She met up with my Buddy Goose and his human Michelle and they all went to the most beautiful BLUE place WITHOUT me.
My Vickie told me that it was the bluest day.  She said, Blue because that is how she felt because I couldn't come, but also Blue because the sky was so blue, the water so blue even the walking path was blue.
Of course Goose had a great time.
He ran and played for both of us.
The river had a blue cast
The ice was reflecting blue but My Vickie couldn't catch that.
If you look hard on the right side of the ice drop there is a psychedelically blue design  in the ice.
The walking path reflected the dark blue sky with a cloud in it.
well, if I cannot go hiking with My Vickie, I guess it is ok that she at least got to go with Goose and Michelle instead of alone.
And here I am still being sat on by Zoey.  Life just isn't fair.

Sure looks like Goose had a great time. Tell that little pup not to hurt your tummy.

Oh Bert did I miss you tons today. So much so that I could hardly enjoy my day with MOM and Your Vickie. I thought about you as I ran and especially when I dipped my toes in the water. Please get better soon so we can romp and play again.
I have a special video message for you on my blog.
I just know you will be well enough to go next week. RIGHT?
Blessings,
Goose

Oh Bert. Did you know that black dogs are sometimes called "Blue Dogs"? My vet calls R a "blue" dog.

So, your day was blue in every way. BTW, Zoey is very very cute.

Don't worry dude, you'll be back out there with Vickie, Michelle, Goose, and all your friends before you know it. Thanks for letting your Vickie show us all those gorgeous photos from today!

I'm not sure why she is sitting on you either.
I'm guessing that Goose would have had a much better time with you there. Cheer up my friend, and just say No to tennis balls!

I know you're an adventurous dog Bert but surely it was quite nice to snuggle in a warm bed rather than get wet and cold outside?

You must be feeling heaps better for Zoey to sit on your tummy without any ouchies!

HUGS x

I love Zoey!!! Because she takes care of you and she looks very severe so Annie wouldn't come to cuddle with you all time....
Sending you all my love Your Charlotte (I'm sorry but I'm a little bit jalouse...)

At least you had Zoey there to keep you company, Bert - even if she was sitting on you!

Love ya lots,

Goose sure looks like he is trying hard not to have fun Bert. At least you had a pal to keep you company. ;)

Zoey is just makin SURE that you stay quiet and don't have a SET back.

That was a stunningly BEAUTIFUL Blue Walkie that they had..WITHOUT you though.

I've heard of dog sitters, but I didn't think it was quite so literal!
I'm sure Goose would have had more fun if you had been there, Bert! It looked like a GORGEOUS day - but right now healing is more important than anything! OK? Hang in there, buddy!

Zim

Don't be Blue Bert,

I think Zoey is trying to cheer you up and keep you company!! :)

Before you know it you'll be out again - at least your Vickie took some fab photos to show you what you missed - oooops, that might not have helped your blue mood….

Ok, I'm sending you hugs to cheer you up!! :)

Your pal Snoopy :)

I'm sorry you didn't get to go on the walk too. What a bummer!

I'm thinking Zoe was sitting on you to make sure you get your rest so you'll be able to heal up faster and take all the walks you could ever want!

Those are some beautiful blue pictures!

Hope you're feeling better, Bert!

Hey Bert! That's alright!

I'd rather have you recovering than going out in a snow day possibly compromising your recovery.

I think Zoey is just giving you some moral support.

Happy weekend.

It's always hard to be left behind, but think of all the attention you get and maybe a new toy or two because they feel guilty about you're not able to come! :-)

Not long now Bert and you will be back to your sprightly self. All I can say is that I would have chosen not to go on that walk - it looks absolutely FREEZING! Here in SA, that kind of weather only happens in story books :)
Sending lotsaluv to you all

We're glad Zoe likes you so much, Bert, but she really should not be sitting on your stitches! She could just cuddle next to you. Maybe Abby should have a little talk with her, boxer to boxer-mix. Hope you're feeling better. You'll be out running around and jumping in cold water before you know it.
