Sometimes Michelle (Goose's Mom) comes over and helps us out.  I like it cause she always finds time for me.
And now for the Saturday fun, me, Murphy and Goose enjoyed.  IT was one of those crazy human games where people break through the ice then run and jump in.
This is my Forever Friend Erin.  She was doing the jumping today in order to get money so she can complete some of her school studies in Spain.  Is that close to Austria.....?
Now to me, this looks great...I mean GREAT...but to My Vickie, Paulette and Michelle, it was cold, wet and sloshy.
And She did it.....Erin earned $800.00 for jumping in this friged water.....Now she can go to Spain.
I got to pose with some of the kids.  They were dressed pretty funny.
Erin was freezing after her leap into the cold waters.  did you see how they have to go out on top of the lake about 40 feet, walking on ice, just to get to the point where they broke thru the ice to jump in.

CRAZY
My Buddy Murhpy sent me this picture after he got home.  He was exhausted and maybe a little sick to his stomach.  See while we were waiting for Erin to jump in the water, a small mole or mouse came running by Murphy.  He was so shocked by it, yet even through his surprise at the little critter running between his feet, he was still fast enough to reach down and grab it, then swallow it whole.....

It all happened so quickly that he didn't really know he had swallowed the little critter until after Paulette made a scene trying to pull it out of his mouth.

It was pretty funny to watch, but we still feel bad for the little critter.

Oh man was that a wet, cold, but fun day out. I think MOM was wetter than me. Those were some crazy humans jumping in the ice water. But I am glad Erin raiser her money.

As for Murphy, I am proud of him for sucking down that critter. I love catching mice and voles. I don't eat them however, just catch, chew and spit.

So is that where my MOM goes once a week, WITHOUT ME to your place? I guess it's for the best cuz Allred is so scary I would be to afraid to go inside the house. Plus on that day (most of the time) I get to spend with Belle.

Thnaks for asking me to come play in the rain today buddy. And look now it's snowing! Next time it will be even better.
Blessings,
Goose

Hi Y'all,

Hope everyone stays well!

My Human says the year they lived on the ocean in Boston they used to see people go swimming in the ocean in the middle of winter.

When they lived on the Chesapeake Bay one of the towns used build a big bonfire and have the same kind of thing only the went swimming in the bay.

Both of these groups were called "Polar Bear Clubs". Kinda silly since humans don't look anything like bears!

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

Crazy people! But dude, you've got some very good looking friends!

It's been DUMPING here since the wee hours. We've got about a foot of snow (or maybe more - it was over the tops of Mom's boots when we last went out back) and it's STILL snowing!!! This is AWESOME! Dad's grumbling a bit because he's had to clear the driveway twice already, but we're LOVING it! Mom got a bunch of pictures of us today that she's supposed to post tonight!

Powder zoomies!!

Three cheers for Erin. She sure earned that money.

Good boy, Murph! Abby loves to catch little critters and she eats what she kills. Sure beats having a cat drag the little corpses into the house, like Allred probably does.

What's Tucker's story? He looks like a Dane-mastiff mix. Most handsome.

Hey Buddy, What a great day today was out pawdling in the pawdles with you and goose. Someone said it was cold, but I didn't notice. I guess for humans it was cold as Erin was shivering when she climbed out of the lake, but then, she doesn't have a nice long coat like I do. She did a great job! I guess my instincts took over when lunch went scooting by. It all happened so fast I didn't even realize I had swallowed it. One guy said I was a great "mouser". Wonder if that was a compliment.

Is Zoey a black boxer? I've never seen one before. That water looks sp horribly cold. Good on Erin for braving it!

Poor Murphy. Poor little critter. I don't know who was more horrified at what happened.

Maybe the little critter.

to start, I love all the faces of your company!! Four legged company is always my favorite because they don't notice the dust bunnies, and don't mind sleeping on the floor!!

Also congrats to Erin and WELL DONE for doing something I'm not brave enough to do, not even for a trip to Spain!! :-))

Oh my goodness. What a week, and what a day. Poor Murphy - I bet that the mouse is still wriggling in his tummy.

I'm just a tiny bit confused. How did you get out of the airplane rest room? Where's Allred?

Yikes Murphy. We know a doggie that ate a whole mole and got an obstruction. Got to be careful of those moles.

The humans are nuts. We jump in icy water all of the time, but we wear our coats.

Hi Bert,

Thanks for visiting my blog. Bart and Ruby (from Rottrover) told me you've been having trouble trying to leave a comment. I'm not sure why that is, but I'll check my bloggie settings.

It looks like you, Murphy and Goose had a great time. That water looks so cold. Enzo and I have never seen ice (apart from little bits of hail), but if I saw those crazy people in the water I would want to jump in with them!

Woofs,
Riley

Hey Bert, you seem to have a busy day. I'm glad your friend Erin earned for her schooling. Crazy humans get money for schooling by jumping in cold water. Awesome.

Holy Moly those are some cold-looking humans!

We generally leave the cold-water jumping to the dogs, as they are so much better at it.
