We all knew it was coming, but we never expected it so soon. Beautiful tribute to sweet and handsome Gizmo. Our hearts go out to his family.

I firmly believe we will reunite with our pups on the other side. Firmly. After my little Suzie crossed in 2007 I heard her distinctive bark- one bark only- one evening in a hallway in my home. All of my other dogs were quiet at the time of her one bark. Another time I believe I saw her (just a flash mind you) jump up on a chair, then disappear just as quickly.
Of all my late dogs, Suzie is the only one who has 'reached out' so I definitely believe they will be with us now & again when we die.
Lots of sadness in Blogville today. Another angel to watch over us.

We heard about Gizmo this morning. So sad to see another furend leave for the Bridge. Butt he will never be forgotten in Blogville.

Beautiful photos and words. I'm so sad that he was snatched away too young and so fast.
I believe that there is a place reserved in the skies for us after we die, a place where our spirit can burn as brightly in death as it did in life. So tonight when I walk with Duncan I will watch for a shooting star flashing across the night, and look for that new place where Gizmo's spirit now resides, and I will thank him for blessing your life and for being such a good friend but I will rejoice in his freedom and ability to run and play unfettered.
